From these cases emerges the concept of <g id=\"gid_0\">thermodynamic prototypes<\/g>, whose timeless operative principles enable a rethinking of architectural design as a situated practice \u2014 rooted in the territory and culturally attuned \u2014 capable of responding to contemporary complexity.
