{"id":2357,"date":"2026-03-13T17:58:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T17:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/civiltecnico.pt\/uncategorized\/civil-engineering-days-consolidate-their-position-as-one-of-the-largest-academic-gatherings-in-civil-engineering-in-portugal\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T18:02:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T18:02:48","slug":"civil-engineering-days-consolidate-their-position-as-one-of-the-largest-academic-gatherings-in-civil-engineering-in-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/civiltecnico.pt\/en\/decivil-en\/civil-engineering-days-consolidate-their-position-as-one-of-the-largest-academic-gatherings-in-civil-engineering-in-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Civil Engineering Days consolidate their position as one of the largest academic gatherings in Civil Engineering in Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between <strong>2 and 6 March 2026, F\u00f3rum Civil<\/strong> \u2013 Civil Engineering Students\u2019 Association of Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico organised the <strong>13th Civil Engineering Days<\/strong>, an initiative that once again brought together students, companies and professionals from the sector through a diverse programme of activities.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s edition stood out for the scale and diversity of its programme, which <strong>included around 40 activities, such as 10 technical visits, 12 workshops and 10 conferences<\/strong>, providing students with valuable opportunities to engage directly with the professional world and with different areas of civil engineering.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of corporate participation, the event also recorded significant growth. A total of<strong> 67 companies took part<\/strong>, representing an <strong>increase of around 10% compared to the previous edition, <\/strong>further reinforcing industry interest in this meeting point between academia and the professional sector.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This edition was also marked by several new initiatives. For the first time, the Civil Engineering Days officially <strong>opened participation to Civil Engineering students from across the country<\/strong>, welcoming students from the <strong>University of Minho<\/strong> and the <strong>Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event concluded with a<strong> closing session at the auditorium of the Portuguese Engineers Association \u2013 Southern Region<\/strong>, attended by around <strong>200 participants<\/strong> and featuring a <strong>stand-up comedy performance by Guilherme Geirinhas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another key highlight of this edition was the<strong> launch of three scholarships<\/strong>,<strong> each worth \u20ac1,000<\/strong>, aimed at Civil Engineering students: <strong>a Merit Scholarship, a Social Support Scholarship, and a Mobility Scholarship<\/strong>.
