Professors at Instituto Superior Técnico and researchers at CERIS, Jorge Matos and Rui M.L. Ferreira, have received international recognition from the IAHR – International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research.
The distinction was awarded at the 41st IAHR World Congress, held in Singapore, and highlights the outstanding contribution of both researchers to hydro-environmental engineering.
Jorge Matos, supported by researchers from Australia, Ireland, Norway, and Spain, was recognized for his academic and scientific impact.
Nominated by international experts, Rui M.L. Ferreira reaffirmed his commitment to IAHR’s mission, as well as to equity and diversity in science.
