Técnico’s Civil Engineering Departement among the 150 most cited researchers in the world

Professor Jorge de Brito, faculty member of the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment at Instituto Superior Técnico, has been recognised as one of the 10 most cited researchers in Portugal in 2024, according to the prestigious Stanford University ranking, which identifies the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists, based on scientific impact.

A specialist in sustainable construction, material performance assessment, and structural rehabilitation, Professor Jorge de Brito has conducted research with significant academic and social impact — establishing himself as a leading figure both nationally and internationally in the field of Civil Engineering.

In addition to Jorge de Brito’s recognition, the list includes 12 other researchers.
